Arkansas Traveler — One Active Couple

#1 Gent turn the opposite lady with a right arm around,
Back to your partner with a left arm around,
To the corner lady with a right arm around,
Back to your partner left arm around and into place

Repeat for Gent #2, #3 and #4

#1 Lady turn the opposite gent with a right arm around,
Back to your partner with a left arm around,
To the corner gent with a right arm around,
Back to your partner left arm around and into place.

Repeat for Lady #2, #3 and #4

Arkansas Traveler — Extra Turn

#1 man turn the opposite lady right arm around,
Back to your partner with a left arm around,
To the right-hand lady with a right arm around,
Back to your partner with a left arm around,
To the corner lady with a right arm around,
Back to your partner left arm around and into place.

Arkansas Traveler — Traditional Version

Heads go forward and back,
Forward again in the same old track,
Turn your opposite right arm round,
All turn partners left arm around,
All turn corners right arm around,
All turn partners left arm around,
And Promenade your corner as she comes down.

Repeat for the Sides, the Heads, and the Sides to return ladies to home.
Add an appropriate Introduction, Break, and Conclusion.

Forearm turns are used throughout. These figures are largely self explanatory. Allow eight counts for each line of the dances.
